## Timer Module

### Overview
The "Timer" module provides configuration options for controlling and managing timed operations within your KNX system. This includes setting up counters that can trigger actions based on time-based conditions, with flexibility for how the counter behaves in different scenarios.

### Key Parameters

- ***Condition State***: Enables or disables a particular condition.
- ***Counter duration time unit***: Selects the time unit for the counter. Options include "100 milliseconds," "Second," "Minute," and "Hour."
- ***Counter limit***: Sets the limit value for the counter. Different actions are triggered when this value is exceeded or not reached.
- ***Counter stops on limit value***: This option allows the counter to stop counting when it reaches its predefined limit value, halting any further increments until reset or reconfigured.
- ***Counter value remember after startup***: Option to remember the counter value after a power outage.
- ***Counter reset object***: Activates an object to reset the counter value.
- ***Counter reset object polarity***: This parameter defines the values that will trigger a reset of the counter. It can be configured to reset when receiving a '1' (Reset, No action when '0'), reset when receiving a '0' (No action when '1'), or reset upon any value received.
- ***Counter startup object polarity***: Chooses the polarity of the counter startup object.
- ***Start command resets counter value***: With this setting, issuing a start command to the counter will reset its value to zero. This ensures that each new start command initiates counting from a clean slate.
- ***Stop command resets counter value***: Enabling this feature means that sending a stop command to the counter will also reset its value to zero. This is useful for ensuring that the counter is ready for a fresh start upon the next activation.
- ***Counter value for cyclic send***: Sets the interval at which the counter value is sent cyclically.
- ***Action on counter is over limit***: Selects the action to be sent when the counter value exceeds the limit.
- ***Action on counter is under limit***: Selects the action to be sent when the counter value is below the limit.

- ***Gate Object***: Controls the activation and deactivation of the condition.
- ***Gate Object Remember Last State***: Option for the gate object to remember its last state even after a power outage.

## Purpose
- To provide a flexible timer-based control mechanism within the KNX system, allowing for timed actions and conditions to be easily managed.
- To configure counters that can trigger actions based on time intervals, with options for how counters behave in different states or after restarts.

## Usage
- Configure the Timer function during the initial setup in the ETS software.
- It's ideal for automating tasks like lighting control, heating, or opening/closing blinds according to time-based events.
- Adjust settings as per your requirements to optimize the efficiency and comfort of your smart home or building.
